About Us

Scholar Nexus is a non-profit 501(c)3 spun off from Neuromatch, a grassroots organization that made its name serving the scientific community through democratizing access to science and education. We are a group of scientists working at the interface of neuroscience, machine learning, and psychology who have extensive experience with the value of peer review, but also an appreciation of the ways in which the glacial pace, expense, and barriers of the current publishing system hinder the progress of science. Our goal is to maintain and incentivize rich feedback structures but make them efficient, and to modernize the process of writing, reading, and review to make it easier and more delightful.
